Who Is Andrew Pallant

Andrew Pallant graduated Georgian College ( Owen Sound ) in 1996. When Andrew could not find co-op in the small town of Owen Sound, he started his own company doing programming and graphic arts. His toolkit includes,but not limited to all DotNet languages, PHP, MYSQL, MS SQL and other various design and editing tools. Andrew Pallant specializes in the support, development and design of web applications, general software, and databases. Andrew's keen sense for business needs analysis, usability and accessibility has enabled his work to be used by all company sizes. Andrew is accepting jobs and contracts located in the London Ontario Canada area.

Andrew Pallant is currently employed as Manager of Technology by Thinq Technologies (DirectDial.com) in London Ontario Canada. DirectDial is a customer/business focused supplier of the top technologies at great prices. DirectDial sells technologies manufactured by HP, Microsoft, APC, CISCO and many more. Andrew Pallant works with technologies including, but not limited to ASP, C#, Python, SQL and various windows platforms. Andrew's main goals is to aide the company moving forward with initiatives that support its distributors and customers.

Do I Need Source Control


Yes!  For the first time in my 15-year career I had experienced what it is like to not have source control, and I had hated it.  I had lost a very difficult to write SQL statement in a project.  It seemed almost impossible to rewrite the SQL for the second time.   I believe it was two of us working in the same project that had caused this loss of code.   I take the blame because I am the manager and I knew that source control was not implemented.  I should have taken the time to take all of the projects and check them into the source control system.
